Glades is a very personal piece. Scherrer transforms imagery and pre-recorded video into universal themes. These themes are determined and altered by the personal communication the artist exchanged within one year of her life. She takes one year of email exchanges and creates a never ending story, an ever changing dialogue with the one common denominator - the artist as the writer and the one written to - a story and stories out of a real story without ever disclosing the larger communication inherent in email.
