Imagescapes are a series of installations in which I project into a landscape.
A projection is both there and not there. One can touch the surface of a projection, but feels only the plain surface, not the image, color or shape within the projection. My interest is to push the way we encounter video projections.
My goal is to go beyond the surface I project onto, beyond the projection itself, having the surface and the environment become part of the projection as much as the projection is a part of the surface and the environment.
My Imagescapes investigate the way we experience what we see. My installations stage a play between the actual motion inherent in a physical landscape with the motion of a projected, pre-recorded landscape.
